Second Baptist Church not only provides support to the Greater Long Branch community, but it is also a driving force in Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex Counties. In addition, Second Baptist Church is currently registered as the Emergency and Disaster Site for the Long Branch Public School District.
The goal is to expand our programs that feed the homeless, to facilitate housing for low-income families; basic skills training for an evolving work force; immunization programs for infants; re-entry programs for recently released inmates; career planning programs for young adults; new ministries for Portuguese and Spanish speaking persons; dedicated space for a youth resource and entertainment center; and family life and counseling
This will be a Community Center for all of God's people and a climate where the disenfranchised will feel welcome.
